MIA
The essence of the MIA finds legitimate support for the concerns, sentiment and will of entrepreneurs, institutions, specialists, researchers, teachers, social workers, opinion leaders all these with a social, educational and service interest that will benefit vulnerable society and at risk of falling into the world of addictions.
Mr. Jesús Vizcarra Calderón took advantage of this great potential by making colloquiums and work tables, thus MIA is born in a concept unique in the world.
That is why the idea arises to develop a Museum: profitable, effective and measurable, create a great experience, enhance the impact of your messages.
No Interactive Museum of Mexico in any of its dimensions and types was self-sustaining also demonstrated that official preventive programs did not measure the social return on investment.
Time brings new needs and priorities. In the 60s of the 20th century the creation of a cinema in Culiacán was an applauded act … after the golden age, and then the arrival of new communication technologies, that model of cinema and its building went to abandonment.
Then the emergence of addictions, both in permitted and illicit substances, brings unpleasant consequences. Not preventing them was leaving us at a great disadvantage. That is why, in the same place where the Culiacans came to entertain themselves, a symbol of world-renowned prevention was raised. This is where the history of MIA is written.
